The women's NT is in penalty kicks and there's no coverage of the game. I am on here and the Internet in this apartment is a bit spotty. This sucks. I know they're not super respectful of women here but it is the World Cup and it is football, so WTF?
We woke up in the morning to catch the bus near our apartment and head in to the Galileo Museum. What should have only taken about half an hour ended up as a three hour tour. We all know what that means.
We had switched busses after asking some girl who worked for the open air bus tour company which one to get on. She told us the 13 and the direction to go, and tried to get us to take her busses. Thanks but no thanks. Maybe we should have. After literally about an hour and a half, we ended up in P. Michelangelo, where we were supposed to be going that night.
The Galileo museum had some cool stuff but not a lot of it was his. I think there were only two things in there that were his and I kinda felt jipped, like the archaeological Rembrandt episode in '07.
We got some lunch and headed over Santa croche, Jess' favorite church in Florence. They have a leather school there. It started out as a place where kids who were orphaned after WWII could go and learn a trade. The stuff was pricey but I guess the bags were nice.
Dante and a few other famous dead guys we all buried there.
Glenn made a friend while waiting for tickets.
Then got gelato, and walked around the Plaza Vecchio, and the bridge for some daytime viewing.
Glenn wanted to know if I would put the fact that we missed the bus because I was taking the above pictures and the truth is, the blog,
Ike history is written by the winners, and therefor if you want your own interpretation, you must blog yourself. As a result, we did not miss any bus on my account, nor did I make any other faux pas on this trip. I was perfect.
Got my Fiorentina magnet, finally and we took bus back and hung out and then headed to Piazza Michelangelo with a beer and the camera. It's one of the best views, probably in all of Europe and if I come back here I could definitely spent like the entire night tailgating and having some beers to enjoy the views. We're lucky, we've been two for two on amazing colors at this place (some of course are from filters but they are all my shots).
We got back on the bus and home in a relatively timely manner and had dinner and then kinda skyped with Emme and Ali. We Made plans for the following day and then just chilled.
